Frank Lopez

is an experienced Leadership Coach, Facilitator, and Capacity Builder. He has over 25 years counseling nonprofit and community organizations. He’s worked with hundreds of executive directors and community leaders throughout the country (primarily in California, Texas and New Mexico). The focus of his work is centered on reflective leadership (a form of Executive Coaching) working primarily with leaders in the social/nonprofit sector. In addition, he has over 12 years working as an executive director and is an accomplished capacity builder with expertise in leadership coaching, strategic planning, collective impact, social enterprise, nonprofit governance and taxation, board development, racial equity, fund development and dealing with burn-out. Prior to his current endeavor, he worked at WK Kellogg Foundation as the Director of New Mexico Programs. He has delivered presentations all over the country and has taught at several universities, including the University of California Berkeley, Texas Tech University School of Law, UT El Paso, and New Mexico State University. Lopez has published articles in the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility and Teaching Race and Law. He is currently working on a book titled: Soul Workers & a Baby in a Hurricane. He has a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a JD from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Texas and California. He is an artist, a writer and loves music and hiking the mountains in New Mexico.
